Meet Dr. Mika

Dr. Joerg Mika, MD has been a resident of Rheinland-Palatinate since 2021. Orthopaedics and Articular Cartilage are Dr. Mika's focus and passion. In 2022, Dr. Mika started a conservative private practice and consultancy in Bad Kreuznach. Dr. Mika also has a unique house call program for his most vulnerable patients. He has contributed to the field of medicine since 1998 and his primary mission is to share the evidence-based approach to preventative healthcare that empowers others to protect their bones and joints, stay mobile and lead more active lives. Trained as a doctor of orthopedics, public health researcher and scientist, Dr. Mika is an independent healthcare provider offering direct care through The Mika Clinic. An accomplished researcher with numerous publications and conference proceedings, Dr. Mika has the expertise to support industry and private patients in their journey towards self-directed health and well-being. That includes conservative services in his private practice, on the phone, at his patient’s home and online through telemedicine. Alternatively, when necessary he also performs minimally invasive and invasive orthopedic procedures in hospital settings

Joerg lives in Bad Kreuznach with his wife. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Germany, US, and all over the world. Travel, drumming, and reading by the waterside are some of his interests.

Approach

Dr. Mika's approach to his work is multi-disciplinary and patient centric, believing that prevention is often the best medicine. His success can be attributed to good foundation and education first as a registered nurse then in medicine. Dr. Mika believes what sets him apart is his extensive professional development and research, persistence and consistency and seeking only after endeavors that resulted in a high level of patient care. As Dr. Mika continues in his calling to help reshape peoples' lives toward vitality, he has been increasingly inspired to create partnerships with other servant leaders who also want to heal health care.

Training

For nearly 3 decades, Dr. Mika has formally practiced as a specialist health care provider, orthopedist and researcher with the intent to educate, inspire and challenge people to achieve optimal health and well-being for life. He is an esteemed researcher who earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Freiburg, and working to earn his PhD title in Orthopaedics very soon.

Writer, Articular Cartilage Researcher & Speaker

Dr. Mika's primary vehicles of communicating lessons learned are his writings, research and symposium. He has been blessed with the gift of communicating complex concepts in ways that are simple and easily understood. Inspired by the quote, “Be that which you say you believe!” Dr. Mika's goal is to create evidence-based material that is backed up by the most accurate scientific data available.
